Leighton Hull, a seasoned entrepreneur and franchise expert, has ventured into a diverse range of business sectors. His career has taken him from Los Angeles, California, to the Hawaiian Islands and Atlanta, Georgia. It began with his first McDonald’s franchise in Los Angeles in 1985. Since then, Hull’s portfolio has grown to include Denny’s restaurants in California, Indiana, and Hawaii, where he was the sole Denny’s franchisee. He has also delved into luxury home development and owned multiple Shell Oil Stations, convenience stores, and car washes in southern California. His recent expansion includes Bojangles restaurants in Georgia.
Leighton Hull’s influence extends beyond his business ventures. He has made significant contributions to various organizations by serving on numerous boards. His roles include Board Chairman-Pacific Coast Regional Business Finance, Board Member-Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena, Trustee-Pacific Oaks College, Board Member McDonald’s Operators Association, Vice-Chairman-Denny’s Franchisee Association, Board member-Bojangles Franchisee Association, Board Chairman-Lynwood Entrepreneur Development Academy-Business Institute and Small Business Incubator, Board member and Co-Chairman-Economic Development Committee-National African-American Leadership Summit (NALLS), and President-LynwoodChamber of Commerce. Hull also served as chairman of the Wharton School Young President’s Organization (YPO) Program and Advisor to the Allen Entrepreneurial Institute.
